GREG CHAPMAN

Registered Builder / Managing Director

Greg completed apprenticeships in both Cabinetmaking and Carpentry to start his professional career. He also had experience as a window fitter before accepting a job from Architect Leigh Ratcliffe to project manage builds in Queensland.

Greg then moved back to Melbourne as project manager in 2010 for Smart & Cain Constructions before getting his builder licence in 2014 and founding GJC Building Solutions in 2015.

Greg has been employed by a number of established Architects including:

  • Mick Ross from Indec

  • Leigh Ratcliffe Architect (Palm Cove QLD)

LACHIE MASON

General Manager

Lachie comes to GJC with experience assisting on projects in the Defence, Oil & Gas, Property Development, Public Sector projects and the 2016 Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Lachie has been with GJC for 7 years and looks after business operations, contract administration, the tendering process and assists with project management.

WAINE LAIDLAW

Construction Manager

Waine comes to GJC Building Solutions with a wealth (30+ years) of experience in the High-End Residential construction industry. He has previously been a registered builder and is very highly regarded by Architects, Clients, Trades and Suppliers.

Waine has previously managed projects up to $8 million in value and featured on a ‘Grand Designs Australia’ episode from S9 E2 in 2021.

Waine has project managed builds with a number of established Architects including:

GREG BRUCE

Senior Project Manager / Registered Builder

Greg comes to GJC with over 20 years experience in the residential building industry. Greg has previously managed projects up to $4 million in value including a HIA award winnings build for projects between $2-6 million in value.

Greg is based on the Mornington Peninsula and has manged many projects with Architects Wolveridge and Austin Maynard.
